Vacuum Heat Treating
Vacuum Heat Treating - Vacuum Heat Treatment
Vacuum Heat Treating is ideal for ferrous metals such as steel, brass, bronze, and titanium alloys. The absence of air and other gases in a vacuum heat treating oven prevents heat transfer through convection, removing the possibility of contamination. Vacuum heat treating burns a fine layer of material off the part’s surface, ensuring parts are not discolored, or contaminated due to oxidation. Vacuum Heat Treated parts are known for excellent surface finishes.
In addition to vacuum heat treating, Jones metal offers::
- Aging
- Air and Nitrogen Quench
- Annealing
- Cryogenic Treatment
- Hardening
- Solution Treatment
- Stress Relieving
- Tempering

Commitment to Quality
Our entry into the world of vacuum heat treating initially started with the need to process our own hydroformed parts and deep drawn shapes, and now we are proud to offer our heat treating services to commercial and industrial customers worldwide. Our vacuum heat treating furnaces are maintained to achieve precise temperature control, and ISO 9001 and pending NADCAP certification, along with extensive in-house testing ensure your parts will be heat treated to your specifications. Exacting quality standards, state-of-the-art equipment, and fast turn around times have all made Jones very competitive in the vacuum heat treating world.
