This customer is an Aerospace supplier to Rolls Royce for jet engine assemblies. Their sales are climbing rapidly and they are working 7 days a week to try and keep pace with demand for their assemblies. The customer experienced production delays when a sub-contractor did not have the capacity to handle their additional volume of business. When delivery schedules from the sub-contractor became increasingly problematic, the customer sought a new vendor to assure on time delivery to Rolls Royce. In the aerospace business, failure to meet promised delivery dates as a tier 1 supplier is unacceptable and results in lost customers and revenue.
The customer turned to Jones Metal Products due to our ability to handle large tool takeovers and our reputation for building new hydroformed parts from inception. We have met our tooling, development and production dates 100% of the time for this customer. Our average for all customers is over 98% on time for production and 100% for new projects.
Jones is currently developing 10 new deep draw hydroformed parts for this customer. We have done so well with progress and keeping them informed with our weekly updates, that they have already awarded us more new business. To insure there are no glitches in delivery schedules, we have purchased another 15″ Cincinnati Hydroform press to set aside for the large monthly requirements of this business. We have the space to grow and the financial stability to purchase the necessary hydroforming equipment to get the job done right.
